FIELDTRIP (LEVEL 2)

Beacon Hill Park Christmas Bird Count Tune-up

Meet at 9:00 a.m. The Saturday birding group invites you to join a birding walk through Beacon Hill Park (https://ebird.org/hotspot/L200516/bird-list ) to sharpen your Christmas bird count bird identification skills. We’ll explore multiple habitats, starting at the ponds across from the petting zoo, circling through the park, and crossing Dallas Road to observe the variety of species each area attracts. 

DIRECTIONS: Meet at the petting zoo entrance on Circle Drive.

FIELD TRIP (LEVEL 2)

Meet at 9:00 a.m. The Saturday morning birding group will visit Cedar Hill Golf Course. We will do the 2-kilometre upper north part, around King’s Pond, and back to the clubhouse. After that, we will continue to the bottom south part, where the trail has some steeper hills. People can do the first easier north section, and optionally the more difficult bottom 2-km section.

DIRECTIONS: Meet at the main golf course parking lot by the Club House. From Cedar Hill Road, turn west onto Derby Road, which will take you to the Club House. (Washrooms are available at the Club House.)
