When you become a member of Nature Victoria you join 650+ others in an 80+-year-old organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of southern Vancouver Island’s natural environment.

Your Nature Victoria membership also provides you with a connection to our provincial federation, BC Nature, linking you to hundreds of other like-minded naturalist throughout the province. BC Nature, along with a local club, organizes a weekend-long gathering of members each year, featuring thought-provoking talks and great field trips.

The Benefits of Membership:

• A subscription to our bimonthly magazine, The Victoria Naturalist
• A subscription to the quarterly magazine of BC Nature  
• The opportunity to participate in evening presentations on a huge range of topics from birds to marine life, from fungi to red cedars. Check out our online calendar, to see what’s going on each month. Most of these presentations are offered both in-person and virtually.
• The opportunity to participate in a wide range of field trips led by knowledgeable and engaging local guides. These outings are offered at a variety of activity levels.

Supporting our mandate to protect, inform and share through our advocacy initiatives, includes letter writing and presentations to municipal councils; our involvement in community events such as World Oceans’ Day and Camas Day; our financial support to other environmental groups such as the Rocky Point Bird Observatory and Habitat Acquisition Trust; funding scholarships and bursaries; judging of and prizes for Science Fairs.
